How can I manage my debt?

If you find yourself in serious debt, then follow these simple money saving tips to budget your money and hopefully save a few pounds.

Collect coupons to save money on food and toiletries in supermarkets and shops.

Drive at or below the speed limit. Travelling at 55 MPH instead of 65 MPH will dramatically reduces your fuel consumption-saving you money on your daily run.

Walk, use a bike or public transport as often as possible, money will be saved concerning your fuel intake and taxi costs which can amount to at least £5 for a 5 minute journey.

Take your lunch to work. An average person spends £5 each day on sandwiches, coffee, crisps and snacks etc, which amounts to a general saving of £80 a month!

Ensure you have the cheapest calling plan for your mobile or landline as you don’t want to be charged vast amounts of money just for talking.

If you are a smoker, then quit! It can save you thousands of pounds each year.

Eat out less. Enjoying a meal in can be just as romantic and enjoyable as dinning out.

Skip the baby sitter. Why not ask a friend or member of family if they could help out now and again.

Don’t go any where near a catalogue. Debt will mount up under your nose without you even knowing about it.

Try not to carry a lot of cash with you as it could be lost or stolen.

Don’t carry your credit, debit, store or cheque cards with you. You wont be tempted to buy anything then, as you don’t have a means of paying, you wont have the risk of losing them or some one stealing them.
